Shipping and Returns

Returns Policy

Due to the unique and vintage nature of our kimonos, we are unable to accept returns except in the following cases:

  • Defective product,

  • Order fulfillment error.

Return procedure:

  • You must contact us within 3 days of receiving your order at the following address: contact@heritagejapon.com.

  • After your return request is approved, the item must be shipped back within 7 days from the date of receipt.

  • The returned item must be in its original condition, unworn, unwashed, and with all tags intact.

  • After inspection and confirmation of the issue, we will cover the return shipping costs.

  • Depending on your preference, we will either send a replacement item or issue a full refund.

Shipping policy

1. Shipping Area

We offer free shipping throughout Japan, including remote islands, and ship worldwide.

Orders are shipped within 2 business days.

Estimated delivery times (Japan):

  • Honshu, Shikoku, Kyushu: 1-3 business days after shipping

  • Hokkaido, Okinawa, remote islands: 3-7 business days after shipping

​

Estimated delivery times (International):

  • Asia: 4-8 business days after shipping

  • Europe: 7-14 business days after shipping

  • North America: 7-14 business days after shipping

  • South America, Africa, Oceania: 10-20 business days after shipping

2. Shipping Method

All orders are shipped via Japan Post.

​

3. Shipping Costs

​

Shipping is free everywhere in Japan. For international shipping, fees will be calculated automatically at checkout.

4. Tracking Number

​

A tracking number will be emailed to you after shipping. You can track your package via Japan Post's tracking service.

5. Shipping Issues

​

If you do not receive your order, or if your item arrives damaged or incorrect, please contact us within 3 days of receiving your parcel.

6. Incorrect Address

​

If an order is returned due to an incorrect address provided by the customer, reshipping fees will be charged to the customer.

Please double-check your address carefully before placing your order.

Importing Taxes

We wish to inform you that the Japanese consumption tax is included in the prices displayed on our website.

However, any additional fees or taxes (such as customs duties and import taxes) will be the responsibility of the buyer. For any inquiries regarding customs procedures in your country, please contact your local customs office or the relevant authorities.
